CITYGUIDE | MY TOP 4 PLACES TO EAT IN AMSTERDAM

18.8.15

Hi you all! Welcome to my blog again. Last weekend I made a little city trip to Amsterdam together with my boyfriend. We made the decision to eat at local places, to really get the feeling of Amsterdam. So that's why today I'm here to show you 4 of my favorite places to eat in Amsterdam. This can come in handy when planing your city trip yourself.

Before we headed to Amsterdam I made a little list of places I'd like to visit. And before I knew it, it was a list with almost only food things. But that's okay, right? Later this week there will also appear a post about the city trip itself.

Cotton Cake: 1ste van der Helststraat 76
Our first breakfast of this city trip was at Cotton cake. It's a shop and an eating place in one. I loved the all white look to make the clothes pop out. Oh and look at that breakfast? It really filled our tummy so we had a good start of the day! And to make it even better…. It's not that expensive at all. I took the home made granola with greek yoghurt and my boyfriend had these waffles.

Thrill Grill: Gerard Douplein 98
When we arrived at this place all the tables were occupied. So we waited a little while before we could eat. You could choose your hamburger and the fries you wanted, I had the herb fries. We had a delicious meal.

Anne & Max: Gerard Douplein 10
On our last day we wanted to go to Anne & Max for a lovely breakfast. I saw this one a lot on Instagram, perfect occasion to have a little look when we were in Amsterdam. This breakfast was so delicious and you have a good amount of choice. Also in the breakfast there was a juice and coffee/tea included in the price. I had a warm breakfast with spinach, salmon and eggs. My boyfriend had the rice cake with avocado and a little greek yoghurt with fruits.

Winkel 43 : Noordermarkt 43
When I asked some people if they knew some hotspots, they told me to go eat apple pie at Winkel 43. So we did and we liked it a lot! You could also eat it with some whipped cream. The pie is made with a lot of cinnamon, so if you don't like that it probably won't be for you.

Is there any hotspot you would like to visit? Let me know!
